| What you need to do :
This is where it gets interesting.
After mastering the forward weave, you now need to re-teach your mind to undo
this learning process in order to learn the reverse weave. This makes it that
much harder to master this move.
Part 1
As with the
Forward weave, we will start first with one poi and other hand outstretched.
The reverse weave is also a 3-beat weave but with the order of the beats
different. This time you go under, above and then back. Start off with the
poi doing the reverse rotation and following the diagram and the first video,
proceed to practice this 3-beats. Make sure you train with your non-master
hand as well. ;-)

Part 2
Following
the integration training of the Forward weave, I strongly suggest you practice
with one poi and both hands first so you can avoid tangling yourself up. Start
off with reverse alternating rotation and swing in the master hand to start
the 3-beat reverse followed by the non-master hand chasing the first.
Due to the
difficulty of getting your arms to follow what it deems to be awkward
movement, since it is used to the forward weave, you might have to use more
body movement to get the poi to go across your body with the integrated
movement. Happy poi-ing. ;-)
